Add water to the bowl until it touches the bottom of the bulbs. Once stems have reached 5 inches, replace water with solution of 1 part vodka to 7 parts water. This will burn the roots, making the stems less likely to flop.

Place in bright but indirect light. Harsh afternoon sun will make blooms fade faster.

It doesn’t get any easier with this holiday favorite. I’ve had blooms well into February. Will bloom in 4-6 weeks with no additional watering needed!

Place in bright indirect light. Rotate the bulb every so often to keep it growing straight. Trim spent blooms.
